My name is Monica Dattage. I guess this is the page where I tell you a little about myself, so here it goes…
San Diego is my home. From the day I was born till the day I go, I am sure it will always be. I live for a good carne asada burrito and a double double protein style; not at the same time of course.
I recently graduated with my Master’s of Science in Communications from Syracuse University. There I was able to specialize in Journalism Innovation; looking to the future to see where the field is headed and how we, as journalists, can be prepared to work with and develop new technologies.
Prior to my master’s degree, I completed my undergraduate degree at California State University, Sacramento in Journalism and quickly entered the work field as a news producer in Salinas, Calif. It was that first job that solidified just why I love journalism and television news.
It is my hope that one day I will be able to make my mark on journalism. Though my participation with the Society of Professional Journalists and freelance projects, I will continue to support the fight for the freedom of information and follow a strict code of ethics in my work.
If you would like to know even more about my work, I can be contacted via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
